About to upgrade from an AMD XP 2000 to a P4 dual processor rig. Just wondered if anyone had a favorite mobo for a P4 single or dual processor. I am considering both.

Intel does not empower the P4 as a dual processor as that would eat into their lucrative Xeon market. MSI makes what is reported to be a sweet P4 board... if you want to lay out $175 smackers for a mobo sans processor, memory, and video adapter. I tend to stick with Asus, and Intel is always a safe bet. Pay attention to the chipset if you are going firewire.

The Asus P4P800 boards are reportedly pretty slick. Comes with he Intel i865 chipset
