Little Bo'peep..........................

Blew her sheep, fucked her horse and licked his feet, ate his ass so very nice, licked his balls not once ,but twice!

Lots of great ones here. I'll just add a couple obvious McCartney lines:

Come Together. This is my alltime favorite bass line. Can you imagine the song without it??

Something: This is a bit more of a dark horse, but next time you listen to this beautiful Harrison song, crank up the bass and listen. Pretty amazing stuff, particularly on the descant in the A minor part ("Don't want to leave her now....")

Fab

The Clash!!!! Paul Simonon 's licks in :

Magnficent 7
Guns of Brixton
Lost in the Supermarket
Rock the Casbah

Tony Levin!!!! as heard in:
.......King Crimson "Sleepless"
.......Peter Gabriel just about all of it

Not sure who played the bass, but
Daniel Lanois "The Maker"

Oooohhh....good call!

Good drum part in that song too. I heard it was a recycled part from another song somewhere that one of the Neville Brothers played or something, and that's why the fills don't go with the song quite right. Daniel used it again on the Willie Nelson version, though it's mixed much deeper, and the bassline is completely different if memory serves.

got mojo?

That bass line makes me melt, literally, it is just one of those things that is sweeter than honey

Money - Pink Floyd
Anesthesia Pulling Teeth - Metallica
NIB - Black Sabbath
The Crunge - Led Zeppelin
Legions - Savatage
Third Eye - Tool

And one that's been playing in my head for months now:

Disgustipated - Tool

i'm not really into the song or the band, but the bass line for that punk song chick magnet.....that's a good one.

and most tool basslines are badass.

Rush - "Digital Man," "The Big Money," "Peaceable Kingdom," etc, etc...

Journey - "Send Her My Love"

The Monkees - "Daily Nightly" (yes, I'm serious, hehe)

Pete Townshend - "Give Blood"

Okay, that's enough....

Rage's "Bullet For Your Head" is one of my faves. It's just so laid-back, but still movin' at the same time. Just kinda' makes you bob your head a bit and say "Yeah, man... yeah..."
