Fatman, yea or nay?

I want some opinions on the FatMan, MK1. I need a compressor for vocals, and acoustic guitar mainly. What kind of sound would this give me? There is a FatMan locally which I can afford.

HHB and TLAudio is the same. Well... Not exactly, the same products, different brands. HHB is for American market, TLaudio European.

I have a Radius 5 which is the Fatman that's a tube mic pre and compressor. It's a VERY colored unit. I wouldn't want it to be my only pre/compressor for that reason. It can be a little over the top sometimes especially on vocals, but it does have its uses. I used it recently on harmonica and it was just what the Doctor ordered.
