fatherless song

Most of the sounds are well placed I find. I'm missing a bass, the piano's not cutting it, neither are the strings. That's all I'd add.
Then there's the voice... It closes in and recedes throughout the song, sounds like a side-chain compression thing but it could be automation. Some words also seem cut off, but that's kind of neat. I really like the in-between ad-libs, I'm not a fan of the singing. A strange intonation and timbre thing that doesn't sit well with me, but that's personal I suppose.

aite good look apreciate it but as for the mixing of the vocal is what im really looking for im not making the beats...but thanks lookin for some more input

I think the vocal tracking sounded pretty good. Decent detail to the vox.

The mix is missing a low end. Just a kick. I think it needs something else, like a bass, to hold down the low end.

Not sure about the pitch on the vocals that are sung. They sound off on pitch. Maybe intentional I don't know. But they didn't sound right.

edit - at 3:37 sounds like a bad edit on the vocal. Right after the line "... years go by".

Sorry... This is gonna be harsh, but - sometimes a dose of reality can help.

This sounds like a guy who wished he could sound passionate and hardcore. Some of the lyrics sound like they want to be passionate, but sadly, it falls flat on its face. The almost complete lack of passion in the vocals, leaves this almost laughable. The beat / piano / synths sound pretty good. The samples of Will Smith sound good, too.... All of this, sadly, makes your voice sound that much worse.

When I say this, I say it seriously, and with no contempt at all. If you want to learn how to sing this style, I'd get some lessons and learn how to do it properly. If you want to be taken seriously, then get some lessons under your belt.

Sorry, bro.
