Nice job. I think the vocals could stand to be just a bit more out front and the mandonlin could use a bit of volume automation since it seems just a bit too lound in spots. The mandolin may not be that big of a deal if the vocals come forward. Anyhow, it is a nice version of the song.

Great job. Cover songs are always difficult because they will inevitably get compared to the original. To avoid the comparison, the song has to be reinvented. You did that here very nicely. Took the song and made it your own. Cool.

Hey, thanks for listening.
I recorded them with a Blue Baby Bottle in a closet. I positioned the mic around the 12th fret pointed slightly up the neck away from the body. Also used the bottle on the mandolin and vocals. On the mando, I pointed the mic down, just above the center of the mandolin body. Ran everything through a little presonus tube pre into an M-Audio 1814 interface into ProTools.
