I have read the post archives on the proper lube to use for faders but have had mixed results in practice.
Seems Deoxit Fader F5 is the preferred/ most often mentioned for faders.
My particular issue is my Soundcraftsmen equalizer. It has light duty faders for frequency adjustment and two faders for sound level matching.
F5 CLEANS the level faders but they are still a B*tch to move...... I mean the literally squeak when forcing them to move and I dont want to damage them.
It would seem like there isnt enuff lube in there. Any suggestions for another product or procedure?

I don’t know of any fader servicing chemical that’s going to help that…that is really weird. If it was me I’d be pulling the faders, disassembling and doing a deep clean and applying grease where appropriate. Do you know if the faders are PCB-mounted or are they panel-mount?

No but im going to pull it from the rack and open it up. I suspect there is a vertical pcb in there. Its an RP 2215-R

Standing on its back and doing the F5 lube worked better. Maybe I just wasn't getting it where it needed to go.
Still wish there was some way to get the sliders to have that silky feeling I think they should have
