For sale on Ebay, I've got a specially modifed Insert Snake that lets you use your Mixer's Inserts as Direct Outs. There are Stereo/TRS plugs on one end of each channel with the Tip and Ring shorted together, and then standard TS plugs on the other end.
Normally, when you plug a regular, 1/4" Mono TS cable all the way in to an Insert Jack, it interrupts the signal so that it doesn't pass on through to the mixer's main outputs. The solution to this is to plug the cable in to the "first click" of the Insert Jack. Unfortunately, this can cause a very delicate connection that can easily be interrupted if a cable is bumped or tugged on even slightly, or if the Insert Jacks on your mixer are well broken in and the plugs don't fit snugly enough into the jacks. This snake lets you plug all the way in, but still pass the signal as normal. Complete details here:
