There may not be anything in the rules about this, but I think there should be.

Free ads (to me) is a tool that's available to contributing members. If more people chose to just sign up and use it as advertising space, the community aspect of it would be lost, and the point defeated.

That's just my opinion.

Really selling a Rode NTK for $200 is making a buck? What's this thing you have against people making money? What do you pay your bills with? Let me guess you live off welfare or you stand on the side of the road with a "will work for food" sign? This would explain your animosity towards someone who's just trying to get some value back for a piece of gear he paid good money for, barely used, and gave someone a deal on. All the while I let them know about this good deal on a forum like this where they would be likely to frequent. Yeah I'm really the bad guy here.

I've contributed to at least 3 threads in the discussion sections since I joined. Threads where I'm helping people out in recording. Do your research before you criticize. It's probably more than you'll ever be able to contribute after thousands of posts judging by your juvenile and idiotic behavior here. You're a self admitted troll looking for attention that's all.

This is one reason I really have grown to hate forums. Because its unavoidable that you have to deal with moronic juvenile delinquents like you. A few bad apples spoil the batch as they say.
 
What do you think entitles you to your self righteous and hypocritical attitude towards me? Do you give away gear for free? If so then you have a lot more money than me to be able to do that. If so put your money where your mouth is and give some gear and money away to everyone on this forum.

Tell me honestly, if you had a good microphone, you worked hard for, in perfect working condition, would you give it away to a complete stranger on the internet? If not, then STFU.
 
I'll happily answer your question. No i would not give away microphones to a stranger on the internet.

There's no secret level.

I signed up to a specialist forum last week with no intention other than to sell stuff.

I emailed the admin first to ask if it was acceptable, because I figured that some forums wouldn't appreciate it.

They subsequently added a free ads section to the boards and welcomed me purely because I made the effort.
 
Whats the problem? I don't get why anyone cares....he has done nothing wrong....period, end of story.

And I checked the rules before I posted and I saw it wasn't against the rules. So like showstone said what's the problem?

If you don't like the rules of the forum then that's your problem. Find another forum or stop attacking people that are following the rules.
 
It wasn't in the rules on the other forum either, but common sense told me that using my first post to advertise stuff would be met with a reaction like this thread.

It's a difference of opinion; Nothing more.

As a matter of fact, I gave away two Fostex MR-8s in good working condition at Christmas. Ask anybody here, or find the thread for yourself. I paid at least $100 each for them. I guess that makes me an asshole, huh? Fuck you.
