Is anyone else using the Event EZbus???

If not, you are missing out!

I wuz wonderin' how other EZbus users were setting up the control surface to work with Sonar.

I've been having some trouble with the default Sonar project that Event provided (Mute and Solo have to be pressed twice, etc.) and was going to work on setting up Sonar's Generic Control Surface to recognize the EZbus controls.

Sorry, I don't use the Event EZbus. (If you're not using the INCA88, you're missing out... :D)

But what I can tell you is that the Cakewalk Generic Surface Controller is dead easy to set up. :)

RE: Setting up the Control Surface Support

I'd have to agree that it seems pretty easy so far.

The challenge I'm having is that BOTH Sonar AND the EZbus are too darn flexible!

The EZbus control surface can be setup to deliver just about any control/command that can be sent as MIDI data. Thankfully it comes with a couple example "profiles" including one for Sonar.

Sonar's "generic" surface will respond to just about any MIDI data as well.

What I DON'T know is (OK, a small part of what I don't know ;-)...
"how do I know what's a good choice for each command?" controller? note? NRPN?

I was hoping somebody may have already developed a useful preset so that I wouldn't have to think so hard!

For volume and pan I would use the default Midi CC's, 7 for volume and 10 for pan. ;)
