Extreme noise problem with Art Pro VLA! Help!

The right channel on my Art Pro VLA produces very disturbing noises when engaged (cracking noises like a scrachy pot...) when the unit is in bypass, the noise turns off.

The unit was working perfectly until one day when I decided to carry it for a remote recording session.

Is it possible that the tube has been damaged inside???

It is possible.
But more than likely it has become loose in its socket.
The easiest thing to do is open the case, pull the tube out (use a soft cloth, best not to touch with your oily hands) clean the pins if posible but if not gently reseat the tube(s).
It is extremely easy.
That may entirely take care of it.
