Extracting Instrumental From Song :) Help :)

How do you get the instrumental from a song besides downloading it.. cuz i got tracks that i have recorded in the past and that was on my old comp... that got stolen but i still have teh songs on CD i would like to get MY beats back :) what can i use? Thanks

If you mixed the vocals dead center, reverse the phase on one channel and combine it with the other channel in a mono mix. However that will also suppress other instruments that were center-panned.
 
but if you used mono in/stereo out reverb...i think you'll still hear the voice

Yep. Ain't no way you can totally recover your beats. This is more like the karaoke version.
 
well how do DJ's and shit get those INs.? like Sickamore?
 
they either write them themselves, or they buy the tracks like that....costs money to do it that way though.
