When I extract audio from cd it's a bit noisy, could this have any thing to do with the cd drive itself?
Is there a better way to get audio from a cd?
Thanks

Could be. Here's what I'd try. Go here and get the "Current Stable Release" of CDEX

http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/downloads.php

It's a free download, and when you load the program, there's an option for "Extract CD Track(s) To Wave File" [top button on the right-hand side]. Watch the file as it is extracting/converting, and see if it lists any errors. If so, I'd say it's your drive. You may be ripping too fast or something. If the file still sounds bad even after you've extracted it from Cdex, then that at least eliminates CEP/
Adobe as the problem.

Good luck.

cd noise while downloading?

first you have to extract the file to your harddrive. there should be like an "audio extract" device in your cd burner software. then just import the mp3 into the multitrack but YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER WHERE YOU EXTRACTED THE FILE TO or itll be lost in your PC.
