Extra fast play speed

So I just switched my setup to a couple Tascam Digi Mixers and a Motu 2408 with a PCI 424. Last night I had everything up and running perfectly for mixdown and Record mode. But today when I turned everything on a few strange things happened. Firstly, I had everything setup excatly like I had it last night, but now there is no sound. But what is bothering me more is when I hit play, it doesnt react at first then a few seconds later it starts appearing to play on the screen only it is playing at a really fast pace, almost double time.

I'm using Cakewalk and I've gone into the audio tab and adjusted everything to where it should be .(mixer, Motu, computer) to 44.1. I set the master clock to the mixers internal 44.1 and slaved the motu to it. The mixer is set to 20 bit , the Motu is a constant 20-bit. What is my problem here, why is the sound gone and why is it appearing to play so fast?
 
Sounds like maybe you recorded something at 44 and are trying to play it back at 88...?
 
It's even worse now. I'm getting this sound that is really high pitched and it slowly just gets higher and higher. It's also making this terrible helicopter sound and showing activity in the TDIF leds when there is nothing going in or out of them. I don't know what is wrong, did I fry something? Does this sound like a word clock issue? Maybe I was sold a junk MOTU?

Seriously, I think you have a feedback/oscillation going on.
