Anybody using Cubase and Layla together?

Any problems?

Thank you,

foo

Hey Shakes,

Listened to your Mp-3's, and was impressed - y'all kick butt.

Thanks for the info, but I own Cubase and that's the name of that tune - although I've heard really good things about Logic (which are endorsed by your stuff)

Along the drop down menus at the top - file, edit etc.. under "tools" (or system? can't remember) you should find a option "inputs" - in here make sure the green light is on beside all the inputs you want to use. In my case, I have 4 pairs for a total of 8.

This enables the inputs - But - you also have to do something else.

In the Monitor view - this is the mixer view. Above each fader, at the very top there is a little button, that will say 1L or 1R. While holding down the CTRL key, left click on this and you should be able to change it to whichever input on the card you like.

For example, you want to record, a kick, snare, left overhead, right overhead.

Fader 1 - 1L
Fader 2 - 1R
Fader 3 - 2L
Fader 4 - 2R

Fader 1 corrisponds to input 1 on your card
Fader 2 input 2

etc..

In the arrange window, click the record enable button on each of the tracks.

Hope this helps.

I am using Cubase and layla. Everything works fine except I cant figure out how to record multiple inputs on the layla in VST. That might be because I am not that great in Cubase. Anyone know how to record multiple inputs with layla, or any other card in Cubase VST? Other wise they work great togeather for me.

Also in the main menu, you need to go to Options/Multirecord and enable the Active menu item.
