What material did you use to turn a closet into a vocal booth and how good are you're vocal results ?

Heavy winter clothing actually works fairly well.
So does heavy conforters hung on the wall.
You probably could even get away with using thick acoustical foam (Auralex and similar)
Otherwise, if you want a purpose built room, check out John Sayer's site and do the usual full-blown treatment.
