I'm interested in upgrading to a used Tascam 1884 with 8 mic pres. The tascam has an adat in connection, so could i just buy, for example, the Behringer ADA8000 and run that via adat to the tascam unit? Will all 8 pres from the behringer run into individual tracks in sonar all via the one single adat cable giving me 16 pres? I have no idea what adat is. Any help will be appreciated. I love my toneport UX2, but i want to record a full band.
