Will that little My Passport by western digital do the trick??

I just need something to track to and keep my sessions in as my HD space on my laptop is filling up fast!

I know PT wants 7200 RPM.... im not even sure if that my passport has actual spinning discs inside, looks pretty small...

Anyways, any advice is appreciated!

My advice would be to not buy a pre-fab external hard drive. Instead buy an external case and then buy whatever drive you want. You might pay a bit more total, but you will end up with a more flexable tool.

A surprising number of external hard drive systems that you buy now are sealed, and not intended to be ever cracked open.

Something like this is ideal, because it supports either SATA or IDE drives and either ESATA or USB 2 transfers:

Very handy when you run across an old IDE drive and you are not sure if it has stuff you want on it.....

Damn man that would have been nice, I wish you posted a couple days ago! I ordered an external drive, 640gb, paid 65 bucks for it..

If I ever need another drive, that is exactly what I will be doing.

Thanks for the reply!
