sorry for the noob question .. but i am learning, ok here goes

i am running cubase 5, and want to use an external effect, my interface is a tascam us-1641, and i want to use my lexicon mx200 into it .. now i know there is a way .. can someone please tell me what to do ?

do i need to run a cable from the taskcam to the lexicon and back again ? and if i do ... which input do i run it back to ... and then do i need to creat its own track ?

or will it all do it via USB

or am i completely missing the idea.

Make an aux send, send that to an output to the Lexicon's input, Lexicon's output to an input to an empty (armed) stereo track.

Cubase and eternal fx

You need to send a channel to an output, from that output connect it to the lexicon and from the lexicon back to your audio digital interface.
You need to have more than 2 outputs and in puts in your unit.
F4 in cubase shows you the inputs and outputs available.
