Hmmm. Trying to export a Sonar project for the first time. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. In the export window, I select Wave, deselect Seperate Submix, give it a name, and export to stereo file. When it's done, I can find the file, but can't open it. It doesnt have a .wav suffix either. When I try to open it within Goldwave, it doesnt even appear in its folder. What did I miss?

...have you selected all the audio tracks you want to export ?

It sounds like you have multiple VMains in the project. Otherwise, the "separate submix" checkbox should be grayed out.

Are the multiple mains deliberate? If not, you should assign all of your tracks to one VMain.

Not sure if this is the source of your problem, though.

I suspect you're not seeing the file in Goldwave, because there is no .wav extension (as you indicated). However, I don't have a clue as to why it is missing the .wav extension. That should happen automatically when you export the mix.

I have seen that a few times -a non-wav ext on the export. Figured I missed a 'p' or a 'q' somewhere, did it again right, all would be fine. just not sure what you're missing yet...?:)

I got it all figure out now. Well, sort of. I was exporting to a new folder I created for that purpose. When I export to an existing cakewalk folder, like "Sample Content" everything works fine. Good enough for me. I can just send it from there wherever I want. Thanks guys.
