Expensive Patch Bay?

Right... I've got two patch bays in the studio... both a bit old and knackered...

Going to replace them (or at least one of them as I've no need for two at the moment) and I've been looking prices up... they range from £30 to £200!

Why should I pay £200 for a patch bay when I can get one for £30? The ones I've looked at are 48/48 with nothing more?

i like the neutrik ones. Pretty affordable and well built. Stay away from the Behringer one, I had one and the sockets were of terrible quality and started getting intermittent connections after less than a year

I bought a Behringer one 2.5 years ago, and it's fine. It may depend on how often you pull and push plugs. With what I paid, even if it goes now, it'd be better then if I'd spent much more.
