SC-PLS is actually one of the 'oldest' types of 'PlayList' file.
Developed by unknowns long ago, and then made standard by nullsoft.
Unfortuneatly, Microsoft pulled their PLS support quite a while ago, in an effort to make their ASX format more standard. To further that, they pulled support for ShoutCast streaming so that their ASF format would become more standard...
In otherwords, they tried to kill the guys who were giving away their source code and software for free.... Typical? hehe
Alot of other players, in fact the majority, do however support SC-PLS playback. And yep, I do recommend WinAmp, since it's developed by nullsoft, and it truly is free!
Anyways, NWR is to go to M3U soon, another standard playlist format specifically designed for MP3 files. Windows Media will probably not accept it still, since I ain't paying for their rediculous licenses to use their servers...
