I recently purchased a Terratech EWS 88 D sound card and installed it in my HP pavilion running Windows ME. I went to the Terratech site and downloaded the drivers and installed them.
I also have a Beringer Eurodesk 802A compact mixer. How do I connect the mixer to the sound card which has S/PDIF input and output. The mixer has the RCA outputs and also 1/4 inch outputs.
I purchased an analog to digital converter box from trusty Radio Shack along with the digital audio cable, but have had no luck being able to record. I use Cool Edit Pro, Steinberg Cubase, Sonar just to name a few. I get sound out, but can not get anything to record. When I go to the windows mixer and click on options then recording, there are no devices listed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. PLB

Have you enabled the s/pdif I/O through the Terratec mixer software? The install should have given you an icon on the desktop for it. Go in and make sure it's set for s/pdif and not ADAT.
