I keep putting off my cover of Santa's Baby until the last minute.

What is this? Kenny G? :D

Actually, it's a very nice recording. Nice cresendos there.

Okay...I had a hard drive go south on me, and I lost a bunch of the Christmas Stuff...so here are some links that I had.

DISCLAIMER: These are not listed in any particular order, and I haven't even had a chance to hear all of them. If your tune is not listed on here, it just means I didn't get it...(so don't get all offended).

Just trying to help out.

Oh yeah...it's not really a home recording...but it sorta' fits, since DavidK is involved. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra has a version of "Carol Of The Bells" that just kicks Christmas right in the ass. Perhaps DavidK would be kind enough to allow a limited download of the tune...perhaps not. :D
Merry Christmas,

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Winter Wonderland

O Come All Ye Medley
(O Come All Ye Faithful, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Little Town of Bethlehem, Joy To The World)

First two are slow jazzy sax tunes and the medley is traditional horns. Here's the spot:

Omigosh........is David K. on that TransSiberian recording? We've been doing a play based on that Christmas music in a local pro-repratory theatre for the last few years. I'm gonna be amazed if I know someone that was part of that.

great thread Steve.. I'm spinning 'what child' right now.. this is a fine compilation Cd, and your tunes bring it up several notches..

Merry Christmas! I can't wait to hear next years Volume 2!

I'm actually not sure if he was part of that particular recording, now that I think about it.

But here's a funny story. I've got the wife and kids in the van driving across Texas a couple of days ago, and 3 songs in a row came on the radio that were either written or performed by people we know (no name-dropping here :D), and then this one came on, and my daughter asked who it was, and I told her it was TSO, and the "fiddle" player is the guy that helped me out on "December."

So my wife looks at me and says, "Hey, all your FRIENDS are on the radio; what the hell's wrong with you?"

I was so shocked, all I could say was ..

"I suck."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Back up at NoWhereRadio....
Thanks for taking the time to do that. I've got 24 people coming over in about 12 hours, and these 3 definitely have to be in the rotation!!!

When I release NWR4, I'm gonna start doing seasonal compilations, so keep that in mind folks!

I guess the next one'll be valentines day... ick

Just an FYI for the compilation folks... I put up a new mix on my NWR page (but didn't feel like ressurecting my old thread).
