Ever use Korg Electribes?

Yo, looking to see what people think of the Korg electribes. I don't really want an all out synth, but more of a drum machine that allows you to edit the sound you get by "tweaking" different parameters. I want something more techno-ish than something that sounds like regular drums. Are these some of the things the electribes do? If not, what will? Thanks everyone.

Electribes are pretty much toys. But they're toys at a toy price so that's cool! It sounds like you pretty much described the electribe(s)! Go for it!

i would get a yamaha DX200 or AN200 instead... much better sound and with heaps of electronic percussion...
3 part percussion and ensemble beside from the modular parts...

but of course, the electribe s, should be a great way to produce nasty techno beats, so check em all out at your nearest dealer...

(electribes has lower frequency range and bitrate if that means anything to ya...)
