I found one of these used for like $270 comes with speaker stands too.
I was going to use it to rehearse.

I know these are PAs and not microphones - but I figured you guys probably deal with PAs a lot since you gotta stick your mic's in something. And know this is a dinky little 80 watt system - but anyway - any experience with these things?

That was my first ever PA. Used it to crank out tunes at parties, and for the occasional coffee-house sized gig. Obviously not real powerful, but better sounding than I thought it would be for the price tag.

Also used it as a monitor rig after I got a set up big enough for a real live gig. Held its own in that role as well.

Cool - I just want something for practice instead of using my KRKs

That is our preferred practice PA for the rock n roll summer camps for which we provide gear (Damn, it's tough to not end a sentence with a preposition!) The reason we prefer them is because they are easy to setup, and easy to use- we don't get call-backs because "something's wrong." Other companies "make" these, they are all "stencil brands-" all made in the same China plant, with different brand names on them.

They work just fine, hold their own in a small room against a drum kit, guitar and bass amps both around 50 watts or so. Keyboards might blow the little 10's, so we don't allow key players to plug into it, they gotta rent a keyboard amp (that also gives us another source of revenue, he he:p .)

Basically, they do what they are advertised as doing, nothing more.

The damn things went UP in price about $100 IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS. Had I known they were going to do that, I'd have stocked up.

HEY, WAIT A MINUTE. GC WEBSITE SAYS "NOT AVAILABLE," AND NOTHING ON THE PAGE ABOUT STANDS INCLUDED. I was gonna grab a couple, too. Shit shit shit.

I picked up that PA today! Guy threw in an AKG mic, 3 xlr cables, 2 mic stands and two 1/4" cables! Practice was much better today. :)

Long time ago ( the dead sea was only sick) I had a Kustom PA. Two columns (line array like the old Shure columns PAs) and a head/brain. Now this was very old school with all the puffy padded covering and that giant blue on light.
Those were the days!
