Ever get a stinger in your finger?

I've had it happen a twice, rendering my ring finger unusable for any kind of abuse for almost an hour. I think it comes from enormous pressure on the g-string.

Not sure if it's a pinched nerve or flesh.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this occur.

are you talking about sharp pain in the tip. If so I defenetly get it sometimes. not too offten. usualy after playing alot of accustic blues with bends and all. I use mediums on my accustic so it's quiet a workout.

The damn things seem to happen right when I'm in the mood and have the time to lay down some serious tracks. Suddenly, everything comes to a halt.

Mine is not adjustable, I couldn''t get used to the buckle on my

Middle finger stinger last night. Can't believe so soon after my post.

Wish there was a scientific explanation for it rendering it non-existant.

I'm not alone! I get that exact ring finger sting. Had to put .008's on one of my strats for when it acts up. Mine is pretty quick but can be quite exscrutiating. I don't get it when I play on .008's.
