I might get these monitors for 200. I don't know ANYTHING about monitors. Never gotten any before. Are these things easy to set up for the monitor illiterate? Thanks!
 
I've got these and they are great, very honest! Nothing to setting them up, don't worry. That's a remarkable price; mine were $275 and I thought that was a steal!
 
Ditto. I've had a pair for a few years and they work really well. Not quite the same as the mackie 824's.... but you can't find them for $200.

Forgot to mention: listen to your favorite CD's through the monitors for a while to get a sense for how they work. The PS6's don't have a ton of bass response. If you make a mix sound like it does on your stereo... it'll be bassy as hell when you actually get it to your stereo.

That's more a matter of them being small monitors than being bad monitors, by the way.

hey, thanks guys! Well, fot the bass part, that's ok with me, thi'll be my first pair. I don't even use bass guitar, and that definitelly cuts a lot of the bass out of a mix anyways. :)

I use a 4 string bass and a drum machine so I'm probably not taxing the low frequency response of the monitors anyway.
