As you noticed on their website, there is no price list - It's kinda like the old yacht salesman joke - "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" -
Last time I was able to find ANY prices, I think the 15's were going for around $50k, don't remember if that was EACH or for a pair - some of the Genelec's go for about $40k a pair, and that includes the factory tech coming to your facility and setting them up. The 10's would be less, I'm guessing around $15k a pair. I read a review of the 5's a few years ago, and their custom CABLES were just over $1000 a pair! (There were even some "golden ear" types who claimed they could hear a marked difference, and maybe they could, who knows?)
Bottom line, I gotta save for a set of 5 KRK V8's longer than I have patience for, so the Westlakes are in my "You just won a $50 million lottery" fantasy...
I got the Hafler 10" sub on a closeout for $299, wanted two so I could run stereo subs but it got back-ordered then canceled due to stock shortages. They have a newer model, improved connection options and rounded corners seems to be the only difference, but it'll be more $, probably around $600 or so mail order. Mackie and KRK are both too proud of their subs for my wallet (over $1k) so I was glad to get the Hafler. I'll be using it with a Denon 3802 AV reciever, which has 6 discrete amps that can be run straight with no DSP if needed, and 5 KRK K-ROK passive monitors for now. I was running a pair of the K-ROK's with a Yamaha 120 watt sub, which worked really well. Difference between us is, I want stuff FLAT, not bass-hyped, so the sub just made everybody ask how I was getting that good a bass out of those K-ROK's (sub was behind the mix station out of sight)
If you're interested, the Yamaha sub is a YSM-150, if I remember correctly - It went (at Sears, huh???) for about $329. It has a 24 dB/octave crossover, so you don't notice any phasing problems at the crossover freq. If you set the levels right and cross it over at about 80 hZ, you can't tell which is coming from the nearfields and which is coming from the sub. (But you sure CAN tell when you turn the sub OFF)
Hope that helped some - after I win that $50 mil Powerball, I'll let you know how the BBSM-15's sound with matched $10,000 power amps... Steve
