I saw an advertisement for an EV powered sub with a 12" driver for live applications. Now, I realize it's not a JBL or a Mackie, but is there anyone out there who uses/used one of these units, and does it provide a little bottom end so I can pull some of it off my JBLs to make the mains sound less muddy with the full mix? I'm utilizing full MIDI accompanyment so I do have quite a bit of bottom end comming out of my mix. My G734s are about as large and heavy as I want to go considering that I'm a single act with only one back and two arms(I had an JBL SRX4718(or whatever) single 18 and it was as big as a washing machine, and I checked out the Mackie...Same thing). The EVs diameter and weight is about the same as my mains, so it's enticing me. Thanx Tom.
