I feel somewhat, well, stupid for admitting this, but...I had one of my EV CO4 "Cobalt" mics in my hand today and walked by the window (i.e. sunlight).
Me: Huh? I thought this thing was black. Oh, that's why it's called "Cobalt."
The lighting I've always had them in made them look black. So, now I know, and actually like them more.
