I was looking at this beautiful Gibson ES-175 yesterday. Directly under the the serial number on the headstock was stamped the word "SECOND". Does anyone know what that means?
i believe this is done when a guitar has had some slight cosmetic damage or some other deal waranting to be not as new most of them are near perfect i feel this is real dumb for companies to do this but i guess it stops big shops buying up the stock cheap and trying to pass it off as new stock so theres some method in their madness have someone look over the guitar for you if all checks out you should be pretty safe here.
Hixmix,
Dont listen to trebles he doesnt know what he is talkin about, what that means is that was Terrible Ted Nugent's second ES-175. Its probably worth 30,000 Id buy it immediatly.
