I love toxic waste
Very strange, and frustrating I might add. I've been using The Grand VSTi for 2 months now and have had nothing but great things to say about it. Well, I go to fire up my Nuendo 2.01 yesterday and I get a lovely error message telling me: "Sorry, but there is not enough memory to run The Grand."
So begins the troubleshooting process. I fired up my Cubase SX and it says the same thing, "not enough memory...." Before I ever startup Nuendo I kill every application and process that is not required for Windows to operate. I also do the usual check for spy-ware and viruses at least once a week. Nothing is hogging my memory! I have 512mb of DDR 2100 with my paging file set to max out at 1.5gig. On top of that I assigned my page file to a seperate harddisk other than the one my OS in installed to(which is XP Pro).
No luck so far. I checked the FAQ's along with every other resource avalible on Steinberg's website for a clue and left empty handed. After that, I completely uninstalled then reinstalled The Grand with no success. I'm not sure if DirectX plays any role at all in the processing of VSTi's, but just to cover as much ground as I could, I reinstalled DirectX 9.0b. Still won't load.
Anyone ever run across this issue? If so, any resolution??
Many thanks!
