you'll probably get 10,000 different lists of stuff to buy...
try to go about this logically...
first think about what you're trying to record and how many track's you'll need to record at one time (then add a few more to that number).
as i understand you have about $12,000 american. i'm not sure what g5's go for over there, but here i'd say around $3,000ish for all bells and whistles.. (i could be wrong, i'm a pc person myself).
*important note* learn how to read frequency response curves and what they mean. also learn about db floors (signal to noise ratio). these types of things are good to know when researching datasheets on items.
basics:
mixing board (12,16 track..)
d/a a/d interface to the PC
lot's and lot's of TRS cables, XLR, and shielded mono's
a decent compressor (zillions of options there... i like tube compressors myself)
a decent gate (also zillions of options)
a good mic (research this option based on what you want to record)
a good preamp for the mics (also research preamps)
and then you'll need 10 million other things

but these are the VERY VERY VERY basics of home recording. as you get into it, you'll find that you like certian equipment over other stuff. don't let these people in here tell you, "this brand sucks... that brand sucks", do your own research and put together what you like, because remember this is all your hobby and should be FUN for you.
