Equipment Advice Please!

I'm going to be recording pretty much just male rap vocals.
I'm going to be using Pro Tools X as my DAW.

I have a budget of around $500 for a condenser mic and around $500 for an audio interface/mixer.

Can anyone give me some good suggestions of products that will best be suited for my situation?

I have everything else sorted and from what I've read you guys really know your equipment so thanks in advance!

The Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 is my favorite interface under $500. Komplete : Audio Interfaces : Komplete Audio 6 | Products

The Steinberg UR44 is a close second with more inputs and outputs.


If I had $500 to spend on a mic I'd buy a Violet Design Wedge: Violet Design The Wedge Cardioid Condenser Microphone
 
I know nothing about recording rap but would have thought a dynamic mic a better option?

The Shure SM7b is in budget.
Cannot fault the suggestion of the KA6!
