EQ the buss or EQ the track?

I find that if it's literally doubling parts up, ie same tone, then I'll buss'em together and EQ and compress them together. Sometimes I'll do the same AND EQ the tracks themselves if its different tones, as sometimes when you add 2 different tones together certain frequencies step on each other...

Specifically for guitars...once you have a good mix of multi-layered guitars of one specific part, do you typically EQ it on the buss or individually? I know it depends, but asking what is typical?

hehe...it depends

really though it's true. sometimes and individual part needs to be eqed to sit in the mix and sometimes you need a more glaboal approach, maybe to make a space for the vocal.

in my experience it depends on how far along i am in the mix and how dense the track is. i will say though that i don't eq a bus much anymore until i've got everything else pretty much in line.
