It all depends on what frequencies are fighting each other. Many times it will be the upper mid-range that will clash...it all comes down to the law of diminishing returns...if you mid-scoop the guitars, then they might not sound as full as you would like...conversely, if you do that to the vocals, you will lose some of your fundamental harmonics. If you like the way the vox sound, then retrack the guitars with a little less treble...hope this helps.

It seems that on soft parts, where clean guitar plays, there is no problem at all, but when distortion comes in, the vioces are somehow lost in the mix and it is hard to figure out what the guy is talking about.... I'll post the song on the mp3 clininc in a couple of days....
