EQ/Mixing DISTORTED GUITARS

hey guys, im just not completely happy with how my guitars sound.. something about them.. sound.... RAWR.. i donno how to explain so take a listen.. i know their a bit loud in the mix... its cuz i didnt take the time to turn down the backing track volume..



take a listen, and let me know how u think i can EQ these guitars, or compress.. or whatever i can to make me sh*t my pants when i hear them..

What mic are you using? What kind of amp is it? What do you have to work with? (DAW, studio in a box, 4 track, etc...)

im using an apex 126.. its a snare mic, but it has the basic properties of an sm57. i have apex large diaphram mic, and i also have some shure pg48s....(and some other low end mics not even mentioning)...

currently im running a behringer ultragain pro vacuum tube pre amp into an m-audio audiophile sound card... and im using cool edit, cuz my cubase was givig me too many hardware dificulties with this card...
