EQ for vocals and instrumentation

Can anyone recommend a book or maybe a website with some information about equalization for different types of instruments. I've no formal training in mixing. I'm more of a producer who's forced to mix. I do not record live instruments except voice. I want to learn a little more about the technique and theory of EQ. Maybe Blue Bear or one of the more experienced folk can assist me.

I collected a bunch of info and collated it all a little bit ago. Here is a link that will work for now, though I'm in the process of changing ISP's, so it might be gone by mid-afternoon tomorrow. If that's the case, I'll repost it elsewhere. I think it's exactly what you're looking for.
