Envelopes

I'm finding sometimes the volume envelopes I create in Cakewalk 8.04 are ignored (volume stays constant on playback). If i save the song and come back to it then they work fine, but this is really annoying, especially if I'm not sure if my cuts are in the right place. It's a large song I'm working on.
Any suggestions? Thanks,

snapshot

hi,
have you tried taking a snapshot of your settings in the console view by using the snapshot button?
the audio screen gets a bit messy with this system, but it works..
use the help index and type in snapshot. it should explain how it works. really cool console automations.
let me know if it works.

Hmm, that's really weird.
Pushing snapshot actually did the trick, and then even after I undid it (the snapshot), it still read the change in volume. I don't quite understand why this works - I'm not altering anything in the console view with the volume envelope, only in the audio track view, but it works. Thanks a lot.

using that snapshot button usually solves all of my volume problems. i dont know why, but thats what ive noticed. maybe its the wrong way to go about things, but if it works........
but im glad it worked for you. dont forget to let us hear the tune once its finished...
