Ensoniq SQ-1 battery

Hi!

I am about to replace the battery in my Ensoniq SQ-1+ synthesizer. But I can't find the original battery anywhere (Panasonic BR2032). Will a CR2032 do just as fine? There is a big warning inside about risk of explosion if using the wrong battery... The difference seems to be that the recommended continuos drain is different on BR (0.03mA) and CR (0.20mA).

I replaced it with a CR2032 and it seems to work fine. I also improved the synth a bit by having the battery in a home made battery holder at the back of the synth. So next time, I will have no trouble at all replacing it... Quite silly design to have the battery soldered into the synth like that - a battery that has to be replaced in about 5-8 years of time... The instruction manual just says the synth has to be taken to an Ensoniq repair station to change the battery. But there is a thorough description of how to replace the battery in a memory card (CR2016 by the way).... and those batteries seems to last a lot longer!!!
