I have an accapella listed below of a song that has effects going on. Im not an experienced engineer so I was wondering if any of you engineers with the knowledge of pointing out effects could tell me what effects they used on these vocals. THEY SOUND AMAZING, and I want to know what they did to sweeten them.

I know they used great outboard gear and such, but what effects am I hearing. I know there is a reverb but how long is the decay time, etc. Here you guys go, thanks!

Song Name: "Accapella Analyze"

Just sounds like solo and double-tracked vox with some added EQ in the high end, and a shitload of reverb.

I think most would agree that this sounds far from amazing!
There is so much reverb that it is distracting.

Just sounds like a typical boyband vocal mix.4 part harmonies triple tracked(sometimes quadruple tracked)and placed just right.Maybe a little bit of reverb and compression.

That was the stupidist fucking shit I have ever heard in my life! Some guy talking to himself. Sound like he was going at it in the shower if you ask me.:rolleyes:

Can you say CHEESE!!!!!!

Ewwwwwww. And I never use a reverb that long. I guess I usually (always) have busier mixes though.

At Any Rate, I agree with Chessrock
