emu1212 setup help...

ok i got the emu1212 installed in my computer....i got wharfedale 8.2 mons,a pair of sony headphones, a m-audio dmp3 pre, and an at3035.
i pretty much know how to set it up but i need a little help....the balanced/unbalanced out put thing is a little confusing.
also, if the L speaker is in the L output and the R speaker is in the R output where can i plug in headphones so that the speakers and headphones play at the same time? and as for the mic, where should i plug it in? because the inputs are either L or R....

there is no headphone output on 1212m, so those outputs are for your monitors, only thing I can think is some kinda headphone amp device which also has thru outputs for your monitor so you can connect both headphones and monitors I think samson make those things, for the mic since mic is mono so you can use either L/R.
