emailing a song? .all

i have a friend that wants to email me a song he did in cubase sx and have me mix it. is this possible, if so how?

I hope you have DSL.

He should be able to do it. He just needs to send the saved song file to you, but it's probably going to be big.
 
If it's just the .all file you best put the file in a zip, otherwise some data might go bad during modemcompression etc. Put it in a zip(or rar) and u should be ok.
 
.all file means nothing to you....you need all the .wav files that your friend had recorded and is using in the song.....that's gonna be a FEW emails, not one ;) ...tell your friend to burn all the .wav files (tracks) onto a CD (as data) and mail it to you.....
 
well i had him convert the wav's to mp3's put everything in a folder, zip it up and send it to me. it was about 7.5MB. I then converted the mp3's to wav's and tried to open the .all file but i guess he changed the names of some when converting so I have to figure that out. the arrangement shows up but it wants me to locate the files and the names are now different. oh well. thanks for the help!
