Hi
I have budget around 1000-1500 usd for speaker mornitor. I looking for the best speaker for these price. which one is the good reason to go with? Passive? Active? Genelec? Mackie? Tannoy? KRK?

I do Electronic Music and Sound for Film. I using Edirol. I think it time to expand my studio so I need to use the new one which give me a good sound for both career(electronic music&sound for film) ...please help me to make a decision.

I might go with KRK. What do you think about this list?
1) KRK RP8 self powered speakers *****700 cd
2) KRK RP10S subwoofer********************400cd

If you guys have another suggestion please tell me what would you like?

The KRK's sound like a pretty good solution -

I'm not a fan of the Mackie's, but I think I'm in the minority on this board...

Genelec's are always good, but you'll only be able to get one.

You might consider Wharfedale and the B&W 600 series in this price range also.

A sub can help especially if you are doing a lot of low rumbling sounds. Check out the Blue Sky systems.
