Here's an instrumental I have just been tweaking and thought I would post it up for anyone interested in having a listen. This tune is on my Soundclick page so I know some of you guys have heard this one!

I posted a tune called "Blue Moon Tango" a little while ago which is the same rhythm guitars, bass and drums used in this tune except instead of a nylon string guitar for the lead, this tune's lead guitar work was played using the trusty ol Stratocaster!

Thanx in advance for any thoughts or comments in regards to any aspects of this tune!

The tune is called.... "Electrifried"

Kinda down home and traditional with a twist. The backup stuff all sounds traditional but then your geet rolls Mr. Waters over in his grave :D .

I like it! The second time through, I just had to jam along. Which brings me to, it would have been cool to switched your sounds back and forth. Kind of a dualing guitars sort of thing. The tone of your guitar is great but because it's all instrumental and all guitar solo, it gets to be a bit much...maybe kick in some distortion or wah just to break it up a bit.

Very tasty ;)

Smoking man!!!! Damn, you got that baby loud... :D

Man, the playing is way cool. This has such a cool vibe to it....what more can I say? Oh, say hello to Mrs. Gorty for me.... :D

This is a great piece of guitar playing Gorty! You really wound it up and let it fly on this version. :D

Excellent backing track too. Drums and guitars are nice and full and punchy.

I like the sound of your strat too, just the right amount of overdrive and a good setting on the echo/reverb effects.

Another good one from the guitarmeister!!! :D :D :D

Great guitar playing man. I like the guitar playing quite a bit.

Even got some shredding going on there. So that's what a strat sounds like if one really starts telling it what to do. :D

Really nice guitar tone too. :)

Hey punkin,

Thanx for listening and commenting. I really like the idea of the two different guitar sounds and going for the dualling effect!.....Thanx again punkin, I appreciate your feedback!

Hey Dogman!

A big hello from Mrs Gorty comes your way!!!
Thanx for listening and commenting. The loudness comes from me just putting all the levels up where they recommend in the manual for the Boss BR1600CDR.
If I follow the guidelines for the Mastering process on the Boss BR1600CDR it really brings the levels up, I sometimes have to deliberately drag the levels down!

Thanx again Dogman!

Hey Gerry,

Thanx for your listen and your comments.......and your compliments! :)

The Stratocaster is so easy to dial in a decent tone to record!....I love playing it!

Thanx again Gerry, I appreciate your time!

That dude is gracious! A one by one thanks to the listeners.

Gorty, That Boss1600CDR looks nice, just checking it out on the websight, lots of excellent features. It's got as much hard disk as my home computer! Are you using the drum tracks on that machine? The drums on this track sound really good.... :D

On "Electrifried" I manually played the pads on a Zoom 234 Drum Machine!
So they are drum machine drums played live!!! :)

Most of my other tunes eg:"Hyperactive Wah Wah" and "One Of These Days" are using the drums from the Boss BR1600.
The drums are quite comprehensive on the Boss unit, I am learning how to program my own patterns in at the moment!

Hi Geetarmeister,

Ya know how I feel about your axe playin!! It kicks serious ass!! :)

wank....wank.....wank.... :D You rawk the rawker in me!!!

Everyone else seems to like the drums, but I don't care much for the sound. That however is me. I even spent the time to listen over and over, but still could not take a liking to the tone......or something.
I guess I things hear differently!!!

I hope this is useful critisism, and just not me talking out my.........

I still love this song. It has always been my favorite on soundclick along with 'Black and Blue'!!

TRUE :)

Hey Gorty, I'm really digging this. Nice licks. This is the kind of tune I need to help me improve my lead playing. It's like a rock riff text book. Very cool. I might learn all your licks and come back here and post this tune with real drums!!! Seriously, though, this is a cool jam.

I just saw my name in passing. You guys actually read what I say???????

true-eurt - I guess it is somewhat funny that most people like me just focus on the guitar and on the sound. Not on the actual playing. Then people wish they could play better!

LOL!!! I know what you're saying bubba!! I'm hearing the tones and the cool sounds my geetar can make, rather than the (un)skill of my hands....otherwise I would never play!!!

It amazes me how even a bad toned guitar, can sound so good in the hands of a meister and a great toned guitar sound like 'gump' in the hands of ME!! :D

*couldn't resist the gump reference Bubba!!* :D :D :D

But yeah, I pay attention to what people say.....as long as there isn't too many pictures to distract me!! :D

Don't know about you but wannabe's like me generally focus on how cool it is to make music and on the overall sound after a gajillion FX plug-ins only because we don't practice. I watch TV and hang out doing nothing. The only practice time I get is when I'm trying to record the same thing and even after 500+ takes it's just not coming out proper.

Forget gump, people have been laughing at my handle bar moustache. I mean laughing. Oh well, it's a good experiment. :)
