does electric sound as good as purcussion my cousin plays purcussion but my parents wont let me play purcussion cause its too loud i no u can muted it with like duck tape and crap but im wondering if i would be just as happy with an electric drum set and could i use a guitar amps for the electric drum set

electronic drums don't really sound like acoustic drums. You will need a keyboard amp with at least 300 watts to play electronic drums in a band. If you don't have a band, you just need headphones.

i actually play guitar i just wanted to play in my basement instead of bringing my guitar and amp to my dummers house eevery weekend and we cant play loud cause my dad doesnt like it and my dummer doesnt have neighbors but i do ---- thanks

Your screwed. Just drag your amp over there, or take the money you would have used to get the drumset and buy another guitar amp to leave over there.
