Downs Syndrome has a number of physical indicators associated with it. People who have been around folks with Downs are pretty adept at identifying those with the condition.

Well, most of us aren't experts at visually identifying Down's syndrome.
So you can visually identify Down's syndrome, and that makes you "an expert".
There is no question that some Gay people can also be visually identified, and that makes it a "Gay bash" ?!?!

I'm not an expert, but my little sister has Downs Syndrome, which is probably why I take such umbrage at taunting imagery used by Ford Van.
Sorry if I assumed identifying an obvious mentally retarded person as "gay" was intended to disparage gayness, when in fact, it wasn't.

back to the original poster AND original discussion of egg crates (which is mentioned in the PDF linked above)...I'm interested in wondering what exactly was tested in this. The test was stated as "designated by client as egg crates." Does that mean egg crates as in the cardboard type or egg crate FOAM? Do a Google image search on the word egg crate and you get both foam and actual egg crate version. I've seen people assume both can be used for acoustic treatment. AcousticsFirst does say about the egg crate myth that it is assumed that acoustic foam is "no more than a fancy packaged version of egg cartons"

I wondered which they meant too. They have both been araound a long time. I was playing with the foam version in the early 60's.
But the original cardboard has been around longer. I don't know.

i just laid my hands to about 100 16x16egg crates,,so what,,foot squared?
obviously with a lack of knowledge i jumped at them.
i record in a one room setup, and the room is a brick garage.
my plan had been to hang three or four office notice boards from the ceiling to create a sizable open bottomed 'box', and have the insides covered with eggcrates,,,,,the plan being that it would diffuse reflection.
the notice boards are the heavy metal framed ones with the thick grey sheet material...
am i better off just not covering them?
