Hello Again,
Here again is the newbie on the block looking for more advice from the wiser than I.

Acting on the advice previously given I have won an auction on E-Bay and have on it's way to me a used TEAC RW-D250. It should arrive early next week.

Now on to more equipment. I have noticed a thing called effects processors. I am wondering if anyone could recommend a good one.

Thanks Again,
Troubadour

Hi, What sort of set would you be using it with, and what sort of budget are you talking about.

Dear S.C.U.D.
I will be using a Tascam Portastudio 424 MKII. I have a 75 Watt Yamaha receiver. I intend on using a TEAC RW-250 as my mixdown recorder. I figure on about $150.00 US for an effects processor.

Naw, that's a Matador.

There are a number of nice FX boxes out there. If you can find a used Yamaha FX box on E-Bay -- they are pretty good sounds; however, I personally frown on used unless I get it from someone I know or get a chance to demo it.

I have a Lexicon FX unit and an Alesis Midiverb 3. Both are still hooked up in my studio but the reverb on my Yam 2816 is "very" good. But, I keep the outboard units plugged in just in case.

You could probably get one of the Lexicon FX boxes for around your budget; however, I still dig the Yamaha FX products.

Green Hornet:D :p ;)
