I am using a motu (8 ins & outs) , a pod, and vegas 2. How can I record the guitar clean and then record it to another track adding effects from the pod to what was the clean guitar? How do I set that up in Vegas?

I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but it sounds like you need to run your recorded clean guitar out of your motu unit, into your Pod, and then back into an input on your moto. Then insert a new track in Vegas and arm it to record on that input. Push record.
