What is your goal for new pedals?

Boss pedals are built to last and if you think they provide with "your sound" then don't change a thing. If you feel something specific like "the Boss Flanger" just isn't what I'm going after, then tell us what your going after.

I have two Boss pedals that I'm happy with, the DD-20 and the DS-1. I also have the Crowthar Hotcake, Skreddy Mayo, Buddha wah, Keeley compressor, Option 5 phaser, and a EHX Chorus in my chain. I also have a MXR Flanger and Visual Sound H20 Chor/Echo for standbys.

Depends on the effect. I donlt use that many but -- Keeler for compressor. Keeler modded Boss or TC for chorus. Matchless Hotbox for gain and EQ. Peavy Valveverb (I know its a rack, but it's great) for verb and trem.

I use 3 Boss pedals and an old Digitech delay, I go from effects loop on amp to a HR-2 Boss Harmonist, I use it more as a thick chorus sound than harmonizing or octaves, which it does also. It gives a boost for leads as well if its set right too. Then is a DD-6 digital delay which will warp the sound in very cool ways, even has a reverse simulator, it will delay about 3 seconds I think. Next is a PN-2 Boss tremolo pedal, great for a cool 60's vintage throb on occasion. The old Digitech PDS-1000 has been with me from the early 80's and I use it for 50's slapback echo.
I use an Ernie Ball volume pedal for lead breaks and its like a tank, never failed me yet. All of these have served me well for many years now. :D

Among the pedals on my board are 4 Boss ones - TU2, Heavy Metal, DD3 and TR2, and on one level I like having them there, because they make me feel like a "grown-up" guitarist - but I also look at them and wish there were more boutique pedals on there - for the snob value. Although I've just managed to get hold of a really beat-up and nasty-looking 1980s Aria Analogue Delay pedal which would harm any potential snobbery merely because of how it looks. Sounds cook as heck, though.

Try Keeley, Menatone, Xotic, Fulltone, Cornish, Love Pedals, Pro Analog, Pedal Worx, etc.........
